I am getting this error every time i try to update. This has been the problem for many people in my organization. Our IT team has ruled out any internal issues blocking it. Some people in our organization are able to update and some are not .This makes it very difficult to work and collaborate with people working on different versions.
Try checking out the Application logs in the Windows Event Viewer for any "Error" events during the installation. They usually are quite helpful. And then follow the link to the troubleshooting page, and see if any of the errors in there actually match what you see in the Application logs.
