Power Apps User can't see data in Canvas App gallery

Hi,

I have a problem where a new user can't see data that should be shown in a gallery. The data comes from Dataverse.

The strange thing is, that I also gave 2 other users access with exactly the same rights. All have the same license and security roles, but only one can't see the data (but can open the app and navigate in it). They all also never used the environment before. We also tried to reassign all rights, clear browser data, log in to the ms account again, update the browser and more.

I appreciate any help!

    Hi @Numan_Dev ,

Could you check the read level of the security role?
If the level is 'user', the user can only access the records he created.

    Best Regards,

    Hi @v-xiaochen-msft ,

    Thanks for your reply!

The read level is "Organization". The user also has the same roles as other users who don't have problems. So I thought the security role shouldn't be the problem.

    Update:

I have now been able to find out that it is related to the user's time zone. As the user works from a different time zone, their system time is also set to this zone. As soon as this user adjusts his system time to the same time zone, he can suddenly see all the data.
However, this is quite inconvenient for the users who are affected by this, as they would obviously like their system time to match their location and there would be confusion during meetings etc..

So my question now is how I can give my users access to the app/data regardless of their time zone. Are there any settings I can make?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

    Update 2 - Solution

Hi again, I finally found the problem. The issue was, that we are historizing our data by giving the records valid_from/valid_to timestamps. The user then only gets to see the valid records. This was done by filtering by "valid_to = DateTime(31, 12, 9999, 00:00:00)". The problem here is, that due to another timezone, the datetime value is converted to 30.12.9999 23:00:00 which causes the filtering to filter out all records.

Solution: Change the filtering to something that works timezone-independent.
