Hi all, a general question. If I'm running a query from a canvas app to Dataverse that is fully delegable and the result of the query is being returned to the canvas app, is there any benefit to do this via a flow rather than using FX within the canvas app? Would doing this directly from the app be quicker than using a flow?

Consider a scinario we want to create a Record from Canvas app to DataVerse
Power FX :
As per OOB we can easily use PATCH option and we can get the response of ID too by using LastSubmit.ID
Flow:
The same we can use in Flow level but we need to create a flow for that and we need to call the action With Parameters and we need to have Return Operation from flow to achieve this type of behaviour.
As Per POWERAPPS, if it is possible to achieve in CANVAS app like patch, associate,remove etc we should go with PowerFX only.
What ever is not achievable in Canvas Power FX we need to go for MICROSOFT FLOW
Suggestion : Go with POWERFX for better performance.

Hi,
My recommendation is you should do it using Power FX because it will be faster and will reduce your development effort & time.
Maintenance cost will also reduce when you use Power Fx because you don't have worry about two components when you go for Flow, you need to maintain canvas app and Power automate both in case of any enhacement from customer or Bug.
There are certain use cases where we go for Power automate like calling custom action, getting data from external sites etc.
