Hi,

I have a store app that keeps returning an unknown error message when I click the button that is patching the data to the Dataverse Table. Any ideas?

Patch(
 'BeneStore Customer Details',
 Defaults('BeneStore Customer Details'),
 {
 Name: "Store Visit",
 FirstName: TextInputFirstName_1.Text,
 LastName: TextInputLastName_1.Text,
 Email: TextInputEmail_1,
 Address: AddressInput2_1,
 PhoneNumber: TextInputPhone_1,
 'Number of Children': NumberofChildren,
 'Child 1 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_1,
 'Child 2 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_2,
 'Child 3 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_3,
 'Child 4 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_4,
 'Child 5 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_5,
 'Child 6 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_6,
 'Child 7 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_7,
 'Child 8 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_8,
 'Child 9 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_9,
 'Child 10 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_10
 }
)

    Hi

    1. Check the data source: Ensure that the data source ('BeneStore Customer Details' in this case) is properly connected and accessible. Verify the connection settings and permissions to make sure you have the necessary rights to perform the patch operation.

    2. Validate field names: Double-check that the field names used in the Patch function match the actual field names in the 'BeneStore Customer Details' table. Ensure there are no typos or discrepancies in the field names.

    3. Verify data types: Confirm that the data types of the values being patched match the expected data types in the 'BeneStore Customer Details' table. For example, if a field expects a number, make sure you are passing a number and not a string.

      Thanks!

    Try the following.  If it works please hit the thumbs up and accept it as a solution.

     FirstName: TextInputFirstName_1.Text,
     LastName: TextInputLastName_1.Text,
     Email: TextInputEmail_1.Selected
     Address: AddressInput2_1.Selected,
     PhoneNumber: TextInputPhone_1.Selected,
     'Number of Children': NumberofChildren.Selected,
     'Child 1 Date of Birth': TextInputChildDOB_1.SelectedDate,

    Apologies, your dates are text, so use .Text instead of .SelectedDate.  Should work - just tested it.

    No worries, I made those changes and now I am getting this error: The requested operation is invalid. Server Response: BeneStore Customer Details failed: Error identified in Payload provided by the user for Entity :'cr0d7_benestorecustomerdetailses'

    Everything is spelled correctly, I refreshed that database, deleted and reconnected the Dataverse table and closed and reopened the app.
