Flow for sending emails on behalf of another

Hi,

I have a flow for sending an email to Outlook 365 every time a form is completed.
Among the options to send an email, is to send it in the name of another person.
What type of permission do I need or how do they give it to me, given that when I run the flow it tells me that I am not authorized to send an email on behalf of another people?.

@Francisco77 you need to have full send on behalf of privileges on their email account. In most organisations this will not be allowed.

First, you have to get your administrators to give you the ability to send from a shared mailbox. (This might mean they have to create a shared mailbox first and put you as one of the users of it.) Then you use Send an email from a shared mailbox (V2) and put the account name of the shared mailbox in the Original Mailbox Address line. Under the Advanced options, you can also configure the reply-to address.
I use this quite a bit to send notifications from a "noreply" account, a shared mailbox in our environment. But first I had to be configured as one of the users in that shared mailbox. Hope this helps!

Hi @annetoal,

could you please tell me why do you use a shared mailbox as the "noreply@...", bot not a distribution list with no members (common practice)?

Using a shared mailbox is the policy in place. If you care to expand on why a distribution list with no members is preferred, that would be very interesting.
