Afternoon all, back with another probably very simple issue. I've been tasked to make a contents page but all my attempts to look it up come back with people discussing the contents of a table, so figured it was worth asking instead of searching in vain.

I've been asked to make a contents page for an app we are working on that allows the user to navigate to a screen and, if they want to, navigate back to this central point. Pretty simple, but I'd like to have the full list to be scrolled to. The only method I could find was to use HTML text as this brings a scroll bar, but if I do this then place a button to allow navigation that button just remains static whenever I scroll.

If anyone has any ideas or links to an example that I've just missed, I would be extremely grateful.

This sounds very much like a menu of choices for the user

A few things that can help do what you're describing:

    • Use the Navigate() function in the OnSelect property of a label to jump to a different screen
    • Use the Back() or Navigate() function to return to a previous screen, perhaps in the OnSelect property of a "back" icon
    • You can fill the Text property of your label with a string or a reference to a string from another control/collection/etc.

Is that what you are after?

I know using labels to act as buttons on select, I'd used that as my basic version to begin with. However I can't find a way to allow the screen to scroll down to make room for everything, as if I use HTML to add scrolling the labels just remain stationary.

There are a couple of ways to ensure buttons remain visible while scrolling:

    1. If you are using a gallery, you can place some buttons outside of the gallery's frame. As the user scrolls through items on the gallery, those buttons will remain in their place.
    2. You can use the components feature to build blocks of your UI and then assemble them on the screen. It's a bit like working with Lego blocks, so it feels a bit more like a web front-end
