Sharepoint List "Location" in New/Edit

Hi All,

My beloved client has a sharepoint list with a "location" column and we have setup a custom form for them in powerapps (I know, I'm posting in a forum about Power Apps). Not my circus, not my monkeys, not my app. Just to let you know.

And they want to be able to add or edit a location of that column entry from this powerapp. And when I add "location" and its various subsections, such as street, zip code, country etc to my power app. I cant edit anything, which sort of defeats the purpose of having it in a list, if we cant add or edit it.

I did some research and an article (a few actually) on here, that say no. And a confusing article from some MVP called RezaDorrani about how it was introduced to SP, but doesnt play nice with power apps. And that article was late 2018. Has anything changed here? its now 18months on and has MS done anything to help a system admin here?

Ultimately, I would like them to be able to add a location to a new list or edit an existing one, have a location button or some mechanism that they can enter a basic street address, and bing maps will fill in the data and the customer can save it to the list.

Can someone shed some light or a way of getting the client the required "location" in my form?

Many thanks for your time.

    Hi @JustAnotherGeek ,

No it has not changed and the advice of "some MVP" @RezaDorrani is always worth listing to.

The only thing I found confusing is the name of the column - you can always add another one with a slightly different name, but Location is not available in Power Apps and I do not believe it is on any development roadmap.
