Hi guys, I've been trying to convert word to pdf as shown here:
But I keep getting this error even when I change Fieldid to Identifier, ID, or Name.
Does anyone knows how to solve that?
Hey @Anonymous
You have to provide the proper path to the file and then the display name. For example, if the file is stored at the "Template" folder in the Shared Documents, Select the documents in the action and then for the file, type: /Template/displayname (In the place of display name, select the file display name from the create file action)
Hope this Helps!

@yashag2255 The library doesn't have subfolder yet. The file is stored in the exact main library which is written in the library name.
Thanks for replying though!
In that case, just add the / and then after the / select the display name from the dynamic selector.
Hey @yashag2255,
Couldn't find the selector: Display Name. I used to have it in different flows but not this one.
So I tried "Name" instead and the same error occurred.
Hi @Anonymous ,
As far as I know, File can only be selected from File Browse, and note that only word files can be converted into PDF files here. Other types of files are not supported.
In other words, if you want to use this action, the word file that needs to be converted is a file that has been saved, and it can be selected through File Browse during configuration.
Hope it makes sense.
Best Regards,
Thank you Mr. @v-bacao-msft. But as you see in the flow. I need the convert action to happen to the same file used in the flow. Choosing a specific file after approval is not what I'm looking for. Isn't there any way to convert the file that just got approved in the same flow?
Hi @Anonymous
Can you post a screenshot of the entire flow? I have tested with the display name dynamic selector and it works as expected.
Hi @yashag2255,
Here is the entire flow:
As you see in the 3rd picture, I wanna convert to PDF after updating the document. Everything is working great except the converting.
Please refer to the screenshot below: You need to add a get file metadata action from where you can get the display name. In the word action, provide the appropriate path and then the display name. In this case the document is in the root folder only.
Still the same error
