i have word document where it contains Acronyms.. is possible to create powerapps to filter/search words. like dictionary?
eg:
genset/ˈdʒɛnsɛt/
Learn to pronounce
noun
a combination of an engine and electrical generator used to produce electrical power, typically as a backup or portable source of power."the factory remained reliant on diesel gensets for electrical power
Hi @justlearner1 ,
Unfortunately there is no such out of box function.
Powerapps cannot get the string in word file. Because word is not a data source in canvas.
I suggest you save the data in the datasource to filter them. (Excel table, Sharepoint list, dataverse table, sql sever table...)
Best Regards,
Wearsky
Are you trying to build a dictionary of your own acronyms in Power Apps? If so i have done something similar with Error codes. Build a sharepoint list or Dataverse table. Add a column for the acronym and a columns for what it means. then have a gallery which shows this list/tablefilter this with Search() or StartsWith()
then show the meaning when you click it. if that is what you are asking for thats possible if you are asking something else i may be misunderstanding
