Flow sends an email with every update and it shouldn't...

I have this flow image below and it sends an email out if any field is updated instead of the one I specifically want in the "Switch" control.  Does anyone know how to make this flow only send an email when Awarded or Lost field = Awarded only?

    Hi @spin-man

    Awarded or Lost field - what type of column is this?

    If single line of text then your flow to should work fine

    right before the switch add a compose action and set its value to the dynamci content "Awarded or Lost field" and when flow runs check its value manually

    Hi @spin-man ,

    Unfortunately, MS Flow does not currently support monitoring whether the specified field has changed and triggers Flow.

    "When an existing item is modified" that you are currently using is actually When an item is created or modified. So if there is a new item generated in the list, Flow will also be triggered.

    If you want MS Flow to support monitoring changes to specified field values, please consider voting for similar ideas below:

    Modified-trigger-should-give-previous-values-for-fields-changed

    Trigger-flow-only-when-a-specific-field-value-changes

    Create-a-trigger-for-SharePoint-list-columns

    In addition, you could also use Rest API to achieve your needs, please refer to the blog and see if it helps:

    Check-for-a-Change-in-a-SharePoint-List-Column-Value

    Best Regards,

    @RezaDorrani

    The field is a "Choice" field.  I added the "Compose" Action and tested it and it still sends an email when any field is updated.  Here is the flow with the "Compose" Action.

    @RezaDorrani

    Any other thoughts on how to accomplish what I am trying to do?

    Thanks
