Suddenly unable to sign in to Power Automate desktop

After having used Power Automate Desktop a ton, I'm suddenly unable to sign in. I once signed in with a former employee's credentials to retrieve something from their account, and now it keeps bringing up that username when I go to log in. I fill in my credentials, approve the multi-factor prompt, and it sends me right back to the login screen.

I've even clicked through to "forget" the former account, but it still brings it up.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing PAD. So frustrating!

Try opening an Office program lige Excel. Your colleague might be signed in there, which can override PAD SSO. Sign them out, and you might have some luck

Thanks. Unfortunately that isn't working. I'm signed into a bunch of Office apps, including the Office app itself, Word, Excel, PowerPoint 365... All of them are under my account.

Couple of weeks ago someone had a not so same but a similar issue. Solved: transfer ownership of Power Automate Desktop flows - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

I'll suggest you check out the same to see if you get to do anything there.

And if you are able to login via their credentials try signing them out from the main PAD console here.

Also clear cache, cookies, History, etc. as another option.

What VJR said or deleting the 'msalcache.bin3' file from %localappdata%\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop

    will do the trick.

I wasn't able to do this because the account is actually now closed.

Yayyyy this worked! I deleted this, re-opened PAD and was successfully able to log in.
