Populating an email with selected form content and attachments

Hello everyone,

This is my first post and I've only dabbled in PowerApps for a week.  I'm trying to develop a canvas app connected to two lists on my SharePoint.  One list is for personnel and the other list is for courses.  I'm trying to locate a formula that will let me email the form's contents and attachments (certificates) to a training center to indicate self-paced online training was completed.

Problem:  I have created a button to send an email and can find the OnSelect formula to send an email, but I cannot find a formula to tie all the fields together to send the actual values and attachments in an email.  What would be a good working formula?  Picture below:

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi @Bratt ,

    Can you please post the formula (in Text) that you are using to send the email, what you want to put in the email and the names of the controls the data appears in.

    Hi WarrenBelz,

    Thank you for helping!  The formula is:

    Office365Outlook.SendEmail("first.last@org.com", "Course Updated", [help needed here].

    Please see below for controls:

    Hi @Bratt ,

    You simply need to reference the control outputs in the email body (examples only)

    Office365Outlook.SendEmail(
     "first.last@org.com",
     "Course Updated",
     "Course for " & DataCardValue2.Selected.value & "( " & DataCardValue3.Selected.Value & ") has been updated."
    )

    Hi @WarrenBelz Thanks for the help.  I tried the input you provided and all it said was, "Course for ( ) has been updated." Seems to not include the selected datacardvalues.  Any idea why?

    @Bratt ,

    It seems you are yet another victim of this bug.

    @WarrenBelz, what can I do about this bug?

    @Bratt ,

    Wait for Microsoft to fix it I guess or consider setting Variables on the OnChange of the controls and refer the Variables in the email.

    @WarrenBelz, thanks.  Could you elaborate more on the Variables piece?  I'm fresh to programming.

    Hi @Bratt ,

    On the OnChange of the drop-downs

    Set(varCourse, Self.Selected.Value)

    use varTitle for the other one then

    Office365Outlook.SendEmail(
     "first.last@org.com",
     "Course Updated",
     "Course for " & varCourse & "( " & varTitle & ") has been updated."
    )

    If you are not going to update them on the form before sending and you are selecting from a gallery (you can do this anyway if so) - gallery OnSelect (assuming they are Choice fields)

    Set(varCourse, ThisItem.YourCourseName.Value);
    Set(varTitle, ThisItem.YourCourseTitle.Value)
