Hi Everyone!
I am very impressed what is possible with powerapps already. I am trying to "develop" are more complex team planing app where the manager is able to plan working hours of team members (up to 10) working in a bookshop. The manager should be able to simply click on a character and the corresponding hours (e.g. clicking on G equals 8 hours or V equals 4,5 hrs).
The UI of the app is made up like a calendar (calendar days on the x-axis, team members on the y-axis). Using a Gallery a total of 140 records/tiles are shown. In each "tile" of the Gallery I added 9 textboxes. Simply doing that (adding no logic or anythink else) slows down the UI in PA Studio to an extand that you have to wait for 5 seconds until e.g. a selection of a textbox or changing of an attribute is executed. Also, the performance of the app itself is slow two. PA Studio is up-to-date and even on a Surface Book with 16 GB and Intel i7 performance is not improving.
First I had the Gallery bound to a SharePoint List, which made things worse. I am now using a collection to cache the SharePoint List locally. Performance of PA Studio UI and app is totally unacceptable. Please help 🙂
