No matter what I do I keep getting the same error, "...Does not math expected type Text"

Doesn't matter if I cast it with a "Value" function or put a ".Text" extension on the end, I get the same error over and over again when using Patch.

'Role/Tasks': Dropdown1.Selected.'Role/Tasks'.Text.

Also tried

'Role/Tasks': Value(Dropdown1.Selected.'Role/Tasks',Text)

    What's the data source?  But I suspect what you want is

    'Role/Tasks': Dropdown1.Selected.'Role/Tasks'.Value

    SharePoint and the fields are "text" fields

    I get the error, "Invalid use of '.' " when I use this:

    Role/Tasks': Dropdown1.Selected.'Role/Tasks'.Value

    This is insanity. This worked and then it all of a sudden stopped working. Giving me a "non behavior property' error. This software is driving me nuts!

    'Role/Task': Dropdown4.Selected.'Role/Task'

    Did you try to place :

    'Role/Task': Dropdown4.Selected.Value ?

    Where are you trying to use that reference? non-behavior property error means you are trying to do something like set a variable in a property that doesn't start with On, like OnSelect or OnVisible.  Are you trying to set a context variable called "Role/Task"?  If so where are you trying to set it?

    @Pstork1

    He tried patch Selection of DropDown to SP List and the error means there is no function 'Role/Task' after he do Selected. <---- the Dropdown will have only Options like SelectedText Selected.Value or Selected.Result on some occasions You can see Selected."Column Name" when You relate DropDown to another. so the error is indicating miss use of 'Role/Task' in his Syntax

    At last that is what I took from his post

    I understand that part.  His latest error was something different however. It suggests he is trying to set a value in a non behavioral property.

    ok what happened is I inadvertently changed the action drop-down to Data-source instead of "onSuccess". A subtle accidental slip of the mouse. I wish this thing had more bells and whistles to catch such mistakes.
