Hi all!
I'm rather new to Excel, and very new to PowerPivot. I work in a company with multiple departments that use a shared workbook I have created. We have a common "search ID" number to reference particular orders. So, this search ID appears on multiple sheets throughout the company (QA, CS, etc). When I try to build relationships for a PowerPivot table (goal is for them to enter this search ID to pull info from wherever it's at in the company - QA, CS, researchers, etc)
When I try to link these columns in the shared workbooks (QA and CS workbooks are pulled together in the data model) I get an error saying "The relationship cannot be created because each column contains duplicate values. Select at least one column that contains only unique values."
What can I do to get around this so that the search ID is a common factor between all sheets? They enter the search ID, and it pulls QA, CS, researcher info together in one report so whoever is searching it can see the progress, regardless of where it is?
