Power Apps portals hosting outside O365 tenant

Hi,

 

I am new to the Power Apps and working on a solution to create one Power apps portal, which utilizes Power automate for workflow implementation over O365 tenant. I am looking some help on below queries :

 

1. Are there any alternate available for hosting Power Apps portals outside O365 tenant ? I mean, is there a way to host Power apps over Azure PAAS platforms like app services ?

2. How to handle the security, if there are external users to the portal.

    Hi Neeraj

     

    we don't have much control on Power Apps Portals hosting, I guess all you can setup is the region when provisioning the Portal, that will defined which Microsoft/Azure data center it would be hosted

     

    if you really need somehow this control, you would have to go for the Community Portals, which is basically an older version of Power Apps Portals (very outdated by now - https://github.com/Adoxio/xRM-Portals-Community-Edition)

     

    Regards external access:

    Portal users are stored as Contacts in your CDS environment and you can define Web Roles / Entity Permissions to control access: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/portals/configure/create-web-roles
