How to get text from a column in the lookup function?

LookUp(
 'tbl_Level 4 Names' As Inner,
 Inner.'Level 4' = colMerged.'Level 4',
 Inner.'Level 4 Name'
 )

I'm trying to compare the value of the level 4 column in tbl_Level 4 Names to the Level 4 column in colMerged? I get an error saying These types cannot be compared. Text, Table. Which makes sense, but how do I get the text out of the colMerged.'Level 4'

Try this

LookUp( 'tbl_Level 4 Names' As Inner, Inner.'Level 4' = colMerged.'Level 4', First(Inner).'Level 4 Name' )

Or

LookUp(
'tbl_Level 4 Names' As Inner,
Inner.'Level 4' = First(colMerged).'Level 4',
Inner.'Level 4 Name'
)

That does work for the first item in the list, but there's a list of items so It ends up saying the first level 4 name is the same across all items. Would there be a way around this?

LookUp( 'tbl_Level 4 Names' As Inner, Inner.'Level 4' = FirstN(colMerged, 1).'Level 4', Inner.'Level 4 Name' )

Gives an error saying Cannot compare the two types. Text,Table. I assume the able FirstN(colMerged, 1) just has 1 record, is there a way to just pull out the text from 1 column?
