Flow not sending email messages from anonymous users

I have a Flow which should send an email with the contents of a Form to fellow staff members as soon as the Form is submitted by an anonymous user. I am using the Dynamic Content section to insert the email address entered into the Form by the anonymous user into the "Send an Email (V2)" condition's "From" and "Reply To" advanced options. When I tested the Flow while I was logged into Microsoft 365, the flow worked just fine and inserted the anonymous user's email address (a "gmail" address, not our company's address) into the "From" field and "Reply to" field, just like it was supposed to, and the email arrived in the staff member's inbox. However, when I did the same exact test while not logged into Microsoft (aka: as an anonymous user), the Flow failed, not recognizing the outside email address as valid, and didn't send the email.

@Anonymous it will not send email if you will log out or try to submit as anonymous, which is correct and expected.

I found a similar thread, please check here:

    https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-forms/anonymous-responses-on-office-forms-is-there-any-way-to-have/m-p/225201

Once you've collected the anonymous results, there's no way to track who submitted what.

If that were possible then someone could trick submitters into thinking the survey is anonymous, and then reverse engineer their ID to use for sinister gain.

If you want to ever cover your bases, might be worthwhile to add a text field for Name and/or Email.

    Hope this helps.

The submitters aren't completely anonymous, they are entering their names and email addresses into the Form, which I was then trying to pull into the Flow's "Send an Email (V2)" From and Reply To fields. That works when I'm signed in and filling out the Form, but when I tested it while not logged in to Microsoft 365, it wouldn't recognize the pulled in email address from the Form as valid.

@Anonymous yes I understand what you are saying but the flow fails because the flow runs in the context of the user and in this case as the user is not signed in, hence the flow cannot run in context of the user and fails.

    Hope this helps.

Well, drats. We're trying to use the Form to connect with people outside our organization, but I guess we'll have to find a different method and not use Microsoft Forms. Thanks for getting back with me and letting me know.

@Anonymous yes you can still use the form but won't be able to trigger the flow.
