How to populate the fields of a powerapp with data from a record in a sharepoint list.

Hi I'm making a power app that requires the user to fill it out over months. I would like it to be where once the user goes to the powerapp, all of the fields they have already completed should be populated. I've looked into the lookup function, but I didn't think it would be useful. Below is a screenshot of my rough version. If I was to quit, I would like to come back and all of these fields be populated. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

    Hi @JBennett12 ,

    I assume you mean unsaved input ? Firstly, you would need to write to some sort of log file with a record per user and do this each time a field is changed (there is nothing to stop the user exiting at any time) then get all this back when the app opens. Not an easy task - it is far better to simply save any progress in the data source.

    @WarrenBelz  I'm happy to save it, although everything I have seen is about a submitForm(). I am not using a form and am patching everything to the data source. I don't know if this makes a difference?

    Thank you!

    Hi @JBennett12 ,

    Patch writes to the data source the same as SubmitForm, so as long as it is saved, it will come back when the user retrieves the record.

    @WarrenBelz Thank you for clarifying that. Is there a function I need to retrieve the record?

    @JBennett12 ,

    You simply need to display it in a Form as you normally would.

    @WarrenBelz is it possible to use without a form? I tried to stay away from using a form because I couldn't design the layout like I wanted to. Meaning I have a bunch of different fields and patch them to the datasource.

    @JBennett12 ,

    No different - the field will still be there if you refer to it in the data source.

    @WarrenBelz Thank you, I had to do a little research on how to properly use the LookUp() function. But that did it! Thanks for the help!
