Hello!
Our organization has multiple Power BI datasets that need refreshes on the fly. We have a built a on demand partition refresh utility on Databricks that uses the Power BI refresh API and facilitates us to call a refresh with the input of the Dataset and table details.
We are now trying to build a Power App that would act as a frontend for this utility and serve a tool for starting specific table or partition refreshes whenever needed. We have been facing some difficulties with this and would really appreciate some help on this.
First off, we created this form which lists all the workspaces, datasets, tables and partitions we have. This is fed from an Excel and works fine.
Next step, we tried creating a custom connector that would call the DBX refresh api/utility but have difficulty making it work.
We have used a DBX Personal Access Token here but we keep running into a 401 Unauthorized error.
Next off, even if we are able to get this to work - we need some help on how to integrate this custom connector to our front end. Ideally we would want a button which will send the 4 input parameter values to the DBX utility and kick start the refresh. We tried passing the parameters on the body of the API via Postman and the refresh successfully. We would want it to work via the Power App's drop down parameter selections now.
We are relatively new to using PowerApps within our org so any help around this will be greatly appreciated. Please drop any example solutions or documentation or ideas on how we can make this work!
Thank you,
Venkat Narayanan
