Pass Assignment missing

Hello,

I am trying to assign an app to users who have a "per user per app" plan.

When I go to the App Settings, I don't get the Pass Assignment option.

In the power platform, under Capacity I have assigned the licenses to the environment.

The App has a license designation of Premium, my searching online appears to confirm this license is appropriate.

The per app passes are assigned to a pool of passes in the environment.  Did you already load the per app passes in the environment?  I don't think you can throw this toggle until you have per app passes available in that environment.

I have already assigned the licenses to the same environment the app is built in.

If you go back to step two in those instructions do you see app passes available?

    Hi,

I have already included a screenshot of them showing they are assigned.

I was able to select the environment, add in the 4 passes.

The problem is that those 4 you assigned are already being used.  If you look at the documentation image it shows 22 or 30.  The switch is greyed out because there are no app passes available in that environment.  They were evidently grabbed for some other app in the environment as soon as you added them in.  If there is no excess of passes available its the same as not having any passes.  Unfortunately, I don't know of any good way at this point to figure out where those passes are being used.  But until you have excess capacity you won't be able to toggle the app pass provision for your app.

    Hi,

That doesn't really make sense to me as as I understand it you have to assign the licenses available in your tenant to a specific environment before you can then go to the App in the environment and switch on the "Pass Assignment" option.  So you will see the total number available in your tenant, when they are assigned to the environment they show as assigned.

The example in the documentation would mean there a 30 licenses, 22 of which are assigned to environments.
If I assign only 1 of  4 the environment I need them in then my graph is similar to the documentation, but I still don't get the option in the App Settings for Pass Assignment.

I have logged a ticket with Microsoft, hopefully they can shed some light on this issue.

The Pass Assignment fields are not turning up, but that doesn't seem to matter.  What did show after the license was applied to the environment was the Per App Licenses.

After that appears is can take a while - maybe 30mins for this change to allow the user to be able to start the app.

You then just have to make sure your permissions for the app are correct to allow reading or writing to the tables.
