Tenant-level analytics (default) - Power Platform | Microsoft Docs

Tenant level analytics seem to be a little off to me to be of any use and cannot be relied upon (which beats the point of having the reports in the first place).

    Example.

Power App Inventory set to "Last opened" "6) Over 1 Year" will provide results of any app that was last opened 1 year ago today and nothing older.  If I perform the same filter tomorrow, I will see only the apps that were last opened 1 year ago tomorrow.  Every other app that was last opened >365 days will not appear in the inventory report, which kind of beats the whole purpose of an inventory report.

The exact same things goes for the Power Automate inventory report also

Did you try to set-up the starter kit? Admin app from starter kit will give you the reports you are looking for.

Are there any 'risks' to enabling these analytics?  I'm thinking of items such as impact on licensing, storage, performance.

No, it's transparent for your tenant performance. But in my  opinion, it's better the information retrieved with CoE Starter Kit and Data Export functionality.

@AlbertoCastro - thank you!  Does enabling conflict in any way with COE?  Or is it just redundant and inferior to COE to your point?

    It's just redundant.

Tenant-level-analytics are the official way to have data of the use of the product.

CoE Starter Kit give you other way to have the same data. In this case it's more evoluted thanks to the direct feedback of the users. And also you can create custom reports in powerbi.

Can someone confirm that by enabling this feature there is no impact on tenant or environment storage? Thanks.

Confirmed, this feature doesn't consume env storage.
