approval action

Hi All,

In an approval action. the flow sends approve/reject notice. In the action, when the Notification is set to "Yes", then an email notification of the power automate "Action Items". Not sure if my request below makes any sense, but let me ask.

Is there way the approvers get an 'straight email' to approve or reject ?

Say in a case when the approvers has not/doesn't want to  install Teams or Power Automate. Prefer a email asking for approve/reject will help.

Just to try, on a test flow i sent approval action to me, I chose "No" to notification in the Approval action. I did not receive email. But an action item is sitting in the power automate panel.

thoughts?

Thanks

C1

If notification is set to 'No' then the approval request only goes to the Teams approval app and the Power Automate action items. If the notification is set to 'Yes' then the approval goes to those places and is sent out in an email.  Depending on the email client being used the approver can complete the approval using only the email and never needs to go to Teams or Power Automate.  However, some email clients, like non-current versions of Outlook, will only allow the approver to redirect from the email to the Power Automate action items.  This is based on the capabilities of the mail client, not on a setting in Power Automate. Either way the approver will not need to install anything other than a browser.  If the redirect happens it will take them to a website client if they don't have the local client installed.  There is no way to configure the approval to not send the approval to Teams and Power Automate.  But using Office 365 webmail client (Outlook) or an updated copy of desktop client will let the user operate as though those copies of the approval don't exist.
