Hi Folks,

Can anyone help to setup how to enter custom value or post as team in a channel rather than my own name. Flow Bot, still shows as me?

What is the significance of "Custom value" here in Post as option?

Thank you!

    Hi  @rsinha ,

Flow Bot, still shows as me?

If you select use , the message will be send by user.

If you select flow bot, the message will be send by flow bot. But in teams , the sender will appear as 'UserName via Workflows'

You can't use the Enter Custom Value feature to have any custom value as the sender, but instead use variables to dynamically select ‘User’ or 'Bot'. If you don't want others to know the sender it's you, you just need to create a new connector with a different credential(For example, you can create a dedicated account in your tenant to send messages).

    Hi There,

To post a message in a Microsoft Teams channel using Power Automate and have it appear as posted by a custom entity instead of your personal account, use these steps -

In Power Automate, start by creating a new automated flow. Choose the appropriate trigger for your flow based on your requirements. Add an action for Microsoft Teams. Select "Post a message" or a similar action depending on your need.

In the "Post as" option, select "Custom value. This allows the message to be posted by an entity other than yourself, typically a Flow bot.

Enter the appropriate information in the fields provided, such as the Team ID, Channel ID, and the message you want to post. If you select "Flow bot" or a similar option, the message will be posted by the bot, not under your name.

Save the flow and test it to ensure that messages are posted as intended.

Please give kudos and mark as solution if it helps.

    Thanks,

    Sandeep Mishra

Is there anyway to change the "username" via workflows?
