Power Platform Community Forum Thread Details

I have a Power App for users to manually enter data into controls (e.g., dropdowns, text inputs). I set up the default and items properties of those controls to auto populate data based on User().email. When the users save this data, I use the patch function to write the data to a SharePoint list, and run a Power Automate flow using the PowerApps V2 trigger to send an email. There is one control that determines if an email is sent upon the patch function running. I noticed today that when I submit a record, but choose not to send an email, that Power Automate still ran the email flow, but used data that auto-fills for a different User().email that wasn't in the controls on the app. How is this possible?
