Default add dynamic content field not appearing

Hi Experts,

I have following doubt-

Suppose my entity name is X and it has "Assessment" as a column(Primary field) in CDS and here in flow is a compulsory field. But I don't have data for that field returning from previous step. What should I do in that case?(For now, I have put Assessment as "interview_id" ). Here I am using "create new record" step in flow. What if I want to keep that as null?

Any help is appriciated.

The Assessment field is mandatory, so you can't leave it empty nor null. Therefore, you could fill it with a unique value using some kind of expression (for example, appending the age to the interview_id field):
concat(body('previous_step)?['interview_id'],body('previous_step)?['age'])

@fchopo 's suggestion would be good to meet your needs.

You can add a condition and add some dummy value on the variable if the previous operation is empty.
