Person card being autofilled based off another data card

Hello,

I have an 'approver' person data card which I would like to be auto filled, based off which 'project' is selected on a drop down data card. I can't find a way for this to work. I have a seperate SP list with all the 'projects' and the 'approvers' in to see if I can use look up but I can't seem to find the right formula. I have also tried an 'If' formula, but I can't seem to get it right.

Below is the project data card

This is the approver card that I would like to be auto filled based off the option selected in the project field.

This is the sharepoint list I have, which is seperate to the main SP list where all the data from the form is held.

Is it possible for me to do what I am after or will I have to think of a different way to do it?

Thanks

Francesca

@FCotgreave You can use LookUp to do so. Inside Possession Planner Manager Approver field maybe you can try something like this?

    LookUp(Approvers, Project2=ProjectComboBoxName.SelectedItems, PPMApprover)

Hiya @NZ0090 for answering my question.

I have tried the formula but it comes up with an error,

    With this being the error;

Does this mean I need to add .Value in somewhere?

    Thanks

    Hi @NZ0090

I have just amended the formula to read

    Lookup(Approver,'Project2'=datacardvalue5_4.selected.value,'PPM Approver')

I have just tried that as no errors appeared and the value of the data card has come up but it doesn't bring through the name for the approver.

    Thanks

    Francesca

@FCotgreave Is there a space in between Project and 2 (for column name Project2) in the table?

Hi @NZ0090, There was a space, I have just removed it, redone the formula and tried again but it still isn't working.
