Hi, I'm trying to build a table with Multiple images inside the word document using power automate.

Where, I'm using Repeating Section Content Control inside 1x1 table and one Picture Content Control. Sample image shared below.

Where my content in array. In this particular form:

[{"$content-type":"image/jpeg","$content":"base64encoding"},{"$content-type":"image/jpeg","$content":"base64encoding"}]

Where I'm using "Populate a Microsoft Word Template 2" connector is Power Automate.

But for some reason the "Picture" parameter is not coming in the connector. Where I tried with Plaintext Content Control. Is was working perfectly.

For some reason I'm not sure why its not working. Is this because we can't use Picture Content Control inside Repeating Section Content Control or something else, any support on this would be really helpful. I have looked all the content but no one shared the highlights using Picture Content Control inside Repeating Section Content Control.

Hi @ashwanidv100 ,

actually, no idea how to solve it with the Microsoft Word connector. I know that the Plumsail Documents similar action will work the way you want. It supports inserting pictures and repeating raws in tables of document templates.

Note: this is a paid solution. There is a one-month trial.

Thanks for commenting out @AnjelikaCh.

It wasn't the problem with Microsoft Word Connector, It was some Word document problem, For which image does not automatically get inserted into new rows in the table. I tried doing it manually in word, till then it works but was not able to work with the Microsoft word connector.

But soon I realised users didn't want any premium connectors and outside any other services.

Solution: Then I simply switched to HTML format, Where I generated the same document and file content in HTML file and was able to convert it into PDF and Boom, It became easier and straightforward. From what I can see.

having the same problem with this.
Wrd does not seem to allow picture controls in a repeating section control. !!!!
Why is this?? Most annoying

Hi @DragonLord, Please convert your word document to html code using any online word to html generator (to easily get your html code).
Then use power automate to create a file using onedrive connector action and create a file type as 'html' and then pass your html code to the file content. You can customize your html code using compose action. before passing to file content. Once that is done.

That will create your html file with your file content. Then either convert that html to pdf or any other type or use html directly to share with end users. HTML document can be open by Microsoft word as well.
