Get PowerBI Data through Graph API

Could someone help me? I'm trying to following this fairly simple tutorial to create a custom API connector to MS Graph. However, I'm struggling to get it to work with the powerBI data. Essentially what I'm trying to do is list out the workspaces, then the dashboards, then the tiles that the current user has access to, and eventually I want to retrieve the tile embed URL.

I think my problem is the get dashboards call. If I am using graph my host is graph.microsoft.com, so the rest of the call must follow that URL. If I import from sample the normal call  "https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups" it appears to reform the URL as "https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/myorg/groups" and that call fails.

I've tried switching the connector host to api.powerbi.com, registered an app through powerbi and used that appid / secret combo as well, but can't seem to make it work. Does anyone have a good example of how to do this anywhere?

    Hi @Ajh ,

Regarding the issue that you mentioned, I think there is something wrong with your custom connector's configuration.

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. You should configure your custom connector as below:

    Host ConfigureHost Configure

    Authentication Configure_OAuth 2.0Authentication Configure_OAuth 2.0

Note: Please configure OAuth 2.0 as Authentication way in your Custom connector.

More details about registering a application in AAD for Power BI service, please check the following article:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/register-app#register-with-the-azure-portal

Please try above solution, then check if the issue is solved.

    Regards,

Just want to follow up that there was a step I couldn't complete on the connector. The link circled in red is greyed out and was only something that our IT team could click. I didn't see the green check marks, but didn't see any error or anything so thought that it might have been done automatically for me when I was setting things up. So user error, and note for next time: assume nothing gets done automatically, if you can't do a step check with IT to see if they can.
