Registering Error when trying to link a Flow to PowerApp button

Hi,

I have a PowerApp created trough Sharepoint.

I added a Button and I'd like to run a flow when I select it.

However, when I try to link the flow to the button, I keep getting a "Registering Error" message (see attachment).

I tried to use different flows, even a simple one which just sends an email and does't require any parameter, but the result is the same.

Any idea on how i can solve this?

Hi @lrizzi-gea

Registering error normally occurs when the data you are trying to pass back to PowerApps returns an undefined data type.

Can I please see your flow response to the PowerApp and I will be able to assist.

Thanks for your reply.

Actually my Flow doesn't return any response.

I attached a screenshot of a Flow that I'm trying to use. As you can see it just sends an email. No need for a response.

Am I missing something?

Hi @lrizzi-gea ,

It could be a simple registering error - Remove the code from the button in powerapps, delete the flow from your app and re-register and see how you go.

Alternatively - Did you know that you can send this email directly from PowerApps without having to fire off a flow?

I've already tried to remove the code from the button, I've even deleted and recreated the flow multiple times but nothing...

My end goal is not to send an email, that was just a simple test. I need to update some data in Sharepoint, but if I try to add the flow that I created for this specific reason I get the same result.

I did some test on a development environment before and it all worked out fine. I don't get why it's not working now.

Hi @lrizzi-gea ,

As a pure test - Can you please create a 'NEW' Powerapp and call it something like 'testconnections'

Create a 'NEW' PowerApps triggered Flow and then add that to the 'NEW' PowerApp and see if you see the same result.
