Searching docs from Power Apps

Hi,

I'm trying to search through documents in SharePoint Online, via my canvas app.

I have created a flow from within my app which calls a RESP API against my document library.

Following Reza Dorrani  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuR-yaMkFDg) I get no errors in the flow but when I type a value in the search box I have the flow also runs successfully but it has no results to show in Power Apps, even though it should have 1 as I have a word document in the library with the searched word:

I've checked Flow and and in the 'show raw outputs' it has:

"RowCount": 0,
"Table": {
"Rows": []
},
"TotalRows": 0,

and I expected at least 1 hit

Is anyone able to help, or provide me with another working/tested method of being able to search for words inside documents in a SharePoint library, ranging from pdf, word, etc.

Thank You

    To better understand the issue, I would need to see the flow and any expression filters you might using. Sounds like that's where the problem may be, since 0 records are being returned in the automation outputs.

    Hi,

    I've managed to sort this, the URL needed double quotes, doesnt get mentioned in Reza's video oddly but it works for me with the quotes

    Hi @Lefty  do you know how to get the thumbnail image preview

    this formula doesn't seem to work

    Coalesce(Text(LookUp(Table(ThisItem.Value.Cells),ThisRecord.Value.Key = "PictureThumbnailURL").Value.Value),SampleImage)

    any idea how to fix?

    Hi @moerah

    Yes, you need to add an image control in your gallery as opposed to a text label if that's what you were doing and then use the following in your Image property:

    Coalesce( Text(LookUp(Table(ThisItem.Value.Cells),ThisRecord.Value.Key = "PictureThumbnailURL").Value.Value),SampleImage)

    Hope that helps.

    Hi ,

    I was also facing an similar issue and all that i did was put a double quotes in the url of sharepoint example below:

    /_api/search/query?querytext=%27SearchText%20path:"https://ccsglobaltech.sharepoint.com/sites/TechnicalSolutions/Shared%20Documents/*"%27
