I've created a loading spinner to become visible while my gallery loads however it does not appear. What have I done wrong? My app on start code is;

Set(gblShowSpinner,true);

Concurrent(
ClearCollect(
colTabs,
{
ID: 1,
Name: "All Signals"

},
{
Name: "Partially Prepped",
ID: 2
},
{
Name: "Fully Prepped",
ID: 3

}
),
ClearCollect(
colNav,
Table(
{
Title: "All Signals",
Screen: 'Main Screen',
Icon: LogJournal
},
{
Title: "Work Bank",
Screen: App.ActiveScreen,
Icon: Database
},
{
Title: "New Prep Sheet",
Screen: FormScreen,
Icon: Add
},
{
Title: "Tools",
Screen: App.ActiveScreen,
Icon: Tools
}
)
),
Set(
varOpenMen,
false
),
Reset(TimerSearch_1);
Set(
varOnStart,
true
),
Set(
varTabSelected,
1
),
Set(
varFormData,
Defaults('Signal Prep Sheet')
),
Set(
varFormMode,
FormMode.Edit
));

Set(gblShowSpinner,false);

My loading spinner consist of an image and a rectangle which I've placed into a group with the visible property being the variable (gblShowSpinner) an placed on the top of the screen.

I'm simply trying to show the spinner while the gallery is loading the info from my Sharepoint list. My gallery item code is

SortByColumns(
Filter(
[@'Signal Prep Sheet'],
StartsWith(
'Signal ID',
TextInputSearch_2.Text
) &&
(
varTabSelected = 1 ||
(varTabSelected = 2 && 'Is another prep shift required?'.Value = "Yes") ||
(varTabSelected = 3 && 'Is another prep shift required?'.Value = "No - Fully Prepped")
)
),
"Title",
If(
varSortOrder,
Descending,
Ascending
)
)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi @iknownothing ,

    From the looks of it, your setup is as it should be. Perhaps you can add a label to the startscreen that has gblShowSpinner as the Text property to see if the variable has the correct value when it should when running App.OnStart.

    Also, you can add abutton with Set(gblShowSpinner , !gblShowSpinner) for the Onselect property so you can toggle the spinner on and off to see if what you see matches with what you expect to see for each value of the variable.

    Hope this helps you troubleshooting the issue.
