Having issues with Sharepoint List people picker field and PowerApps

Greetings

I have pre-labeled fields in a Sharepoint List with one field being a people picker field named "Contact Name" I have a text field named "Contact Email"

On my PowerApps form, I have "Contact Name_DataCard1" that when I test, successfully looks up the user name that I type in. I have the following data settings:

I also have a data card named ContactEmail_DataCard1 when the following data settings:

What I am attempting to do with all of this is have the ContactEmail field auto-populate based on the selection from the Contact Name field.

I am not able to get this to work

Please let me know if more detail is needed. Thank you for your assistance

Hi @cwade0723 ,

Set the Default property of DataCardValueEmail (or whatever identifier corresponds with the ContactEmail column) to:

DataCardValueName.Selected.Email

Where the X needs to be replaced with whatever identifier corresponds with your ContactName column. Finally you need to set the Visible property of ContactEmail_Datacard1 to false so the user can't mess with it for safety. Alternatively you can set the DisplayMode property to DisplayMode.Disabled or DisplayMode.View so the user can see the mail address, but not edit it.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately I still have the following error:

"Name isn't valid. This identifier isn't recognized"

For the field Contact Email, I have the default field set as follows: DataCardValue17.Selected.Email
For the field Contact Name, the data card value is DataCardValue17 and the card name is Contact Name_DataCard1

UPDATE

Not sure what happened but I removed the data card and re-added it then entered the default field as you suggested and it is now working

Now...I have one more question:
How do I make a field a currency field? Meaning, when a user enters a number it displays it as currency (USD)?

I have a SharePoint list column titled Project Budget and the field is set as currency in Sharepoint. On the PowerApps form I have the default for DataCardValue10 set as Text(Parent.Default,"[$-en-US]$#,##") but when I test entering a number on the form, it does nothing.

Thoughts?
