Issue creating a copy of outlook event in another calendar

solution, when creating the event, the system complains that there is no Time Zone provided.

However it can be seen that the raw message contains the timezone... error details:"A valid TimeZone value must be specified.

The following TimeZone value is not supported: ''. clientRequestId: 9d3b329f-ca23-4e9f-a0d5-b5b5a0679c3f serviceRequestId: 9d87ad37-df5a-a699-0659-0a93d7580bd6"

I'll try to also include some screenshots showing magical loss of TimeZone :).

    Hi there,

I don't see "Central Europe Standard Time" in Microsoft's list of TimeZones (looking in the Convert Time Zone action.)

I recommend trying it with one of these, which are in the same time zone.

    Cheers,

Yes, thank you for your comment. It was strange as I did not modify the input time zone, it came directly from outlook.

I hardcoded the timezone parameter in the "create event" action. Now,  it is creating the event approximately as expected.

What's strange: other invited parties are not included, and free-busy status is set to free however the original event was busy... Still, I'm happy to have found the root cause, even if the real solution is not yet found.

Yeah, that's frustrating - you'd think what's shown in Outlook would be correct, but alas.

You didn't mention these issues in your original post, but I'd be happy to take a look - what does your original flow look like? Could you show that?

    Hi, sure:

This is the way it is working.

When I originally had the standardway for timezone, then I had the error about what I was posting:

    baloghandris_1-1651652970027.png

Now, I can see the setting for "free/busy"

apparently, leaving empty results in "free" status.

I'm also fine with not having the invited participants, however, recurrence should be added but I'll have to check it yet, not yet tested out fully.

    Thank you for your help!

    Brand new here!

@baloghandras Are your new events at the correct time?

I used the same template and initially got the time zone error. I've made the changes discussed in this topic thread, and my flow completes successfully, but the new event is 4 hours later than it should be. Both input and output are Eastern Time Zone, but I can see in the run history that Start Time and End Time are modified on the output (see highlight in my first screenshot).

The only thing I changed from the template is that I added a trigger condition based on the event body. This seems to work well. Does anyone have a clue why the Create Event (V2) is changing the Start Time and End Times on output?

Mod: I don't mean to hijack this topic. If this belongs in a new topic, I understand.

    >Are your new events at the correct time?

as I said, I needed to hardcode the timezone. In the first try it was not correct so I found the timezone that then results in proper timepoint representation in the calendar.

I am afraid this then will cause a problem when switching daylight saving... I guess by then we will have debugged the timezone issue. 😉

    @baloghandras

I meant to say that I tried the Flow with both kinds of time zone settings, as discussed in this thread. Both of them create the new event at the wrong time.

I think I figured out that the template we're using is deprecated, perhaps? I noted that it uses V2 of both relevant actions, so I created a new Flow with the latest versions:

Now, it works perfectly! Lesson learned: If a template uses actions which are old versions, don't use it.

    Best of luck,

    Oliver
