Patch multiple User Email to single line text column

Hi,

your support is appreciated in my scenario,

I have 2 buttons when the current login user presses either of them, they will become disabled because when he presses one of the buttons, his email will be patched to that text column and the buttons will become disabled based on the email in the text column, however, when another user login and press one of the buttons, his username will override the existing one and the previous user will be able to press the buttons again, that means the text column takes only one user, I want each user press one of the buttons, his username will be patched the text column and he will not be able to press it again.

my code is:

Patch('Power List',LookUp('Power List', ThisItem.ID = ID), {Per:User().Email});

Thanks in advance

    Hi @haider1 ,

    Well there is a work around if you really need to patch multiple email addresses in a single line column.

    Add this to your button OnSelect property:

    If(Not(User().Email in ThisItem.Per),Patch('Power List',LookUp('Power List', ThisItem.ID = ID), {Per:ThisItem.Per&","&User().Email}))

    Just bare in mind that you will only be allowed to have 255 characters allowed to store here..

    Then on your button DisplayMode property:

    If(User().Email in ThisItem.Per,Disabled,Edit)

    However if I would be you I would go with a different approach here.

    What if there will be too many people that will have to click on this button and there will be no more space left in the SharePoint column then this will break the app.

    I would probably just create a new collection and store the data there who had pressed the button and which button.. Then use that data to disable the button for the person if he pressed it?
