I need to list the values of an attribute in a dropdown menu. I've tried making a query between tree tables and also just like consulting these values. None of them work.

I have these three tables in Dataverse: Participants, Medicaments and CMAIs. The tables are connected like this: Participant has a Primary Name Column named participant_code which identifies each participant. Medicaments has a lookup column named participant that references the participant table. And what I'm trying to do is getting the different (distinct) values of the participant attribute in the table Medicaments.

I'm creating a new form for CMAIs and I want to values to be listed in a dropdown menu.

    Hi @BirdieG

    Try this:

    Distinct(Medicaments, participant)

This code would give you the different values of the participant attribute in the table Medicaments.

If you have any questions or feedback, please let me know. Have a great day! 😊

The error message “Expected a different collection record structure” typically occurs when Power Apps expects a certain structure of data, but the actual data provided doesn’t match that structure.

In this case you will need to define the schema of the input property appropriately in the component.

    Steps you can follow:

    1) Keep a note of all the keys that you want to pass in the component.

    2) Add proper schema in the input property inside the component.

Note: You can use ShowColumns/DropColumns functions to get only required columns. Remove attachments columns before passing the values.
