Cannot connect to sharepoint excel file

Added connector excel online.

Added a xlsx file to the documents folder of a sharepoint site

Using the connector browse to the site then to the folder: no files show up.

Add the link to the file from sharepoint maually in stead:

"Invalid hostname for this tenancy"

App already has access to this folder in may other usecases.

I can open the file from the folder in excel no problem.

What's wrong?

I need to use this file as an import prouct catalog from a company and replace it with the most actual version form time to time so tinkering with the file after uploading is no option.

    Hi @HansHeintz ,

What connector are you using? If it's SharePoint, try refreshing the datasource:

    Hi @HansHeintz,

Do you mean that the file stored on SharePoint site disappears when you select files in the aimed folder?

I have a test and the situation is confirmed on my side, I could select file from the folder of the site.

First of all,  I don't think Power Apps supports Excel file to work from SharePoint Document Library.

Then, SharePoint files may not be available. The Graph API doesn't pass the user's IP address to SharePoint. Therefore, if a location-based policy is enabled, SharePoint cannot determine whether the user is within the trusted boundary.

In other word, I would not suggest connect to ExcelOnline so that you could use an excel file on SharePoint site as the data source, which is unstable.

Relatively speaking, only the Excel file stored in OneDrive for Business is supported as data source.

The Excel data source is very limited, even if you can get it to work from the OneDrive file.

In short, exporting this excel file to a SharePoint list is the best workaround.
