Formatting of a page inside a model driven application

Hello everyone,

I created a table in dataverse to which I associated a main form, this main form has been customized with a canvas page application linked to one of the mandatory fields of the table. As a result, it's associated with the page of the model driven application under tables/page.

When I display the model driven app on a chrome browser (on desktop), it shows a lot of white space between the canvas page application elements.... With lots of scrolling... I checked the classic designer for the main form of the table in order to modify the canvas page settings (i was looking for height) but didn't found anything, so I changed the number of columns in formatting but also that didn't work... I still have a lot of white space with lots of scrolling on my screen...

Did anyone experienced this issue before?

I'll highly appreciate your help!

Thanks

    Hi @daijubu_desu

This is probably related to the size of your custom page and the size of the form you can refer this article for more information:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/model-driven-apps/design-page-for-model-app

    Some personal recomendations,

Configure the size of your page to a custom size

Be sure that all you components are inside a container and configure the properties of the container so you can be sure your app well be responsive no matter the resolution of your user:

Remember your form has a maximum size

Anything bigger than that is going to have scroll bars. but if you use container you should worry no more.

I already tried these adjustment but none worked for me :'(

I need to set up the height of the section in the classic designer for the main form but didn't find anywhere to set this property... Any idea how I can reduce the section height to fit the model driven app's height without scrolling? Or again is the a way to reduce the max height?

    Hi @daijubu_desu

Model driven apps are not that customizable as canvas app, Forms component does not allow you to change the height prperty.

As last resource you can try what is mentioned in this post

    https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Embedded-canvas-app-on-a-model-dribven-form-has-huge-white-space/td-p/956166

And also consider show your custom page in a pop up/modal screen.

    https://www.matthewdevaney.com/power-apps-custom-page-modal-dialog-for-model-driven-apps/

If none of the option that i mentioned before works for you unfortunately there is nothing else we can do to make it look better,

In my case, the issue is not related to the model driven apps settings... Also not related to the form's setting, quite sure it's related to the canvas apps page itself (when I add another canvas app in the controls of the field under classic editor, it works fine and I don't have the white space)... I compared almost all the display and settings between the two apps and it's completely the same...

Is there a way to understand why this happens (very random in my point of view)? Or shall I post about it the Ideas community?

    Hi @daijubu_desu

In this case ill requiere to see what is exactly happening to you, how de components looks like in your canvas app. because i think im not really understating your constrain.
