CSV data in only one column

Hi,

I am currently trying to excract an excel file from a microsoft LIST using power apps and power automate.

My automate linked to my "Extract" button works as follows:

- I take my table (converted to JSON) as an input.

- Then I create a CSV table using "json(output('Compose').

- Finaly I save the file.

The problem is, when I open my csv table, every value is located in one column and separated by a coma, with the corresponding values at the rows below.

Is it normal ?

Is it possible to put each piece of data in the following columns instead of them being separated by a comma directly in power automate ?

Thank you very much for your answers !

    Hi,

If its a a csv why did you turn it into json? It could just be late for me but don't you just want comma separated.

What does the raw output look like in the Compose can you share?

    Cheers

    Hi @TomitoBrees ,

Can you tell me how do you create the CSV table? Or what does your flow look like?

    Best regards,

    Rimmon Li

    Hi,

    Thank you for your answer.

The raw output from the compose is like that:

    "[{\"Colonne5\":\"\",\"Date\":\"2023-09-25T00:00:00.000Z\",\"Description\":\"what we want\",\"Test Code\":\"1\",\"Title\":\"A\"},{\"Colonne5\":\"\",\"Date\":\"2023-09-14T00:00:00.000Z\",\"Description\":\"yes\",\"Test Code\":\"1\",\"Title\":\"C\"}]"

I don't turn the CSV in JSON but I turn the table that I put in the automate in JSON directly when calling it.
    Like that:
    'PowerApp->Compose'.Run(JSON(Chantier, JSONFormat.IgnoreBinaryData)).

    Thank you,
    Tom

    Hi @TomitoBrees  ,

So in that you case what you need is an excel I believe and not csv(which is comma separated values as the name suggests).

    1. You can save an empty excel file in your OneDrive (or you can create a file with the required columns and table)

    2. get file content from step 1.

    3. Create file

    4. Add a row here your JSON output will be an input to an apply to each action and row input should be item().

Adding a screenshot for your reference.

    write to excel.pngtemplateExcel.png

Hope this addresses your issue. If this solves your problem , please give this a thumbs up and mark the answer as a solution.

    Thanks,

    Sanmesh
