Power Apps People Picker - restrict list of people to search

Hi,

I'm quite new to this.

I have a SharePoint List that I'm customising the form for.  In a nutshell it's to collect employee documentation throughout their employment - onboarding docs, leave forms, industry certificates etc.

I have a people picker that's searching the whole of our O365 user list.  But I want to restrict that list to only allow the searching of members of a particular sharepoint site, not everyone in the organisation.

How do I do that?

I don't want to build a separate list and use that as my datasource, I've seen stuff on that already.  That will still require regular updating and I want to basically set and forget this so that when someone is added as a member of that site, then they will appear in the search list.

Thank you!

    Hello @KatLane  !

Unfortunately there is no direct way to do the same. The easiest way would be to use office 365 group

    Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers("Enter Office-365 Group number here")

The following link explains little bit more  https://www.spguides.com/powerapps-role-based-security/

you will have to make few tweaks.

Now we can get exactly what you want but it is little bit complicated but well documented here

    Hope this helps ! cheers

    Thank you @Anonymous_Hippo !

I cobbled it together from those links and it seems to be working exactly as I wanted it!

It actually ended up being quite straight forward.  I added the Office365 Data Source as a second data source and added the below in the items formula bar using the id of one of our teams channels which includes all the people I wanted in my people picker.

    Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers("group object id").value
