Edit selector associated screenshot

Hi,

How can a edit/replace the screenshot that is automatically appended when creating a new element selector? The screenshot can contain information that we don't want to be published (e.g. personal sensitive information). We're working under GDPR restrictions and are not allowed to make this kind of information public (currently according to GDPR saving a PAD flow in the cloud is considered making ut public).

Kind regards,

Peter

    Hi Peter,

Anything and everything that you are going to do with PAD is going to be on the cloud.

So it is difficult to prevent it from happening unless there is an approval for using PAD itself.

    Hi VJR,

Thanks for your reply. Yes I know it's all in the cloud. But, just as it's possible to mark a variable as "Sensitive" (to prevent disclosure) it would mitigate some of our issues if it was possible to delete or replace the automatically attached screenshot.

I agree with you and felt the same about another RPA tool.

At this point I can suggest you to submit it as an idea/feature here.

Hi, only as idea, because I haven’t verified it yet, you can edit the command that uses a selector with screenshot in notepad (copy&paste) and remove the binary part that contains the picture. After that paste it back in your flow.
