Has anyone else experienced any issues with galleries inside of components?

I've created some navigation components using galleries, but seemingly randomly they don't render. The Visible property of the component, gallery and images/buttons are all set to true, but the component just doesn't appear?

The red area should have some images and buttons, but they're not showing. The component is there, as the vertical layout container is registering it's presence and is re-sizing the white area accordingly.

I'm passing in a Table of records into the component via an input property that should then be passed onto the gallery inside the component.

Does anyone have any ideas or come across this behavior before?
