Choices lookup dropdown

I have two dropdowns in a form:

Category Level 1 dropdown has 9 different options. Within a sharepoint list called CP Taxonomy there is a number of Category 2 options against each category level 1.

When a user selects a Category level 1 option i want the category level 2 dropdown to display the options which relate to category level 1. I thought about using a choices lookup (not sure if that is a thing) but it doesn't work.

Please could anyone help?

basically you want cascading dropdown so use this code on
2nd dropdowns items property

Filter('CP Level 2', CategoryLevel1 = DropdownCategoryLevel1.Selected.Value)

Hi, thanks for the reply

Unfortunately that didnt work. Below is the Sharepoint list. I want to lookup column category Level 2 based on what is selected in the category level 1 dropdown and pull through the corresponding options from the Material group Description column.

@Massingc1983 - then the solution offered by @SMB-SZ365 is the correct one.

Could you clarify what "it didn't work" means? For example, is there an error message?
