I am unable to save blank value in person or group type filed, when i update an item.

To where do you want to update your blank value?
If it's to a SharePoint list, please check if the item "column" isn't a required field.

Here is a link to a post that may help.
It's not required field. when i submit form first time i can save it as null or with any data. but when i try to update it with null value. it does not allow me to do it. it save previous value, if i try to save null value other wise it save updated data

I did some research on the form and I see that this issue is common there is a workaround that should work.
Could you check the link below, it would "reset" the data field and should make it able to submit it with a 0.
