Send Email (V3) - SMTP connector

Hello Members,

Could you please help on this issue ?

I am using the connector SMTP (Send Email (V3) to send an email to users. I want to pass the today's date in attachment file name.

PFA highlighted one. But, I am always getting the date in the format of MMDDYYYY. for ex; 08012023 though I used the below methods.

1) utcNow('MM/dd/yyyy')

2) String(utcNow('MM/dd/yyyy'))

3) Formatdatetime(utcnow(),'MM/dd/yyyy')

Finally, I hardcoded the file name like Event Report - 08/01/2023.pdf. nothing works. It seems connector always rejects the forward slash (/). it is weird issue for me.

Note: String(utcNow('MM/dd/yyyy')) - This is working fine when i use this in the subject line. See the attached mail how we received.

Please guide me to resolve this issue.

    Hi @VSeenuvasan ,

    This is due to windows file system limitation. If you try and create a new file on your computer desktop, rename it, you will see the hint when typing slash in new file name:

    Hello everyone, Just new to this community. Really looking for some help with the power apps SMTP connector. I recently developed an powerapps app which uses SMTP connector to trigger email from a donotreply mailbox. The connection works completely fine for me. But whenever the app is used by other users they end with an error(shown below). The app and connector are both shared with everyone in the org. So, I am really looking for some insight... Thanks in advance
