Date Picker: require time

Hi, all.

I've added a required date picker to a SharePoint Power Apps form that includes hour and minute drop-downs:

If someone does not pick a date the form shows a "required" error, as usual; however, if someone picks a date but not a time, the form goes through without an error.

Is there a way to require all three fields before submitting?

Any help would be appreciated.

How have you set up the hour / minute drop downs?  Are they just drop down boxes?

How do you want this to perform if they are submitting this at hour 00 and minute 00?  Is that possible?

Lastly, are they submitting a future start date?  Or should the start date and time default to now?

    Hi, @Rusk.  Thanks for responding.

    To answer your questions:

The Hour and Minute drop-downs are part of the date picker input in PA.

It's difficult to say how they will be using this.  They may need all time options

This will always be a future start date.

    I hope this helps

To get around this I have used a ComboBox for hours and a ComboBox for minutes and then submitted data to a SharePoint list. I have a field for Time that is a single line text in my SharePoint list and then I have a calculated field in my SharePoint list that converts that Text value to a DateTime value.

    Hi, @lps1003 ,

Thanks for the insight.  It sounds like you're not inclined to use the OTB date picker with hours/minutes.

I'll look into this as an alternative.

Try going to those dropdowns and changing the allow empty selection field to true, make the reset true as well, then make the default an empty string (""). This should make both of the time dropdowns blank by default. The will now have a blank option at the top and that will be default which means that you can now say If(combobox.selected.value = "", false, true) as your visible property on your submit button.

hope this helps! let us know if you still have questions and we can try something else! Also if this works please mark as the solution so that others with the same issue can find help too!
