I'm trying to make a responsive gallery. I have a a structure like

Label1

Label2

HorizontalContainer2

Icon1

Icon2

When App.Width > 1167, I have the Container1 set to Horizontal, and when it's <= 1167, I have it set to Vertical. The Height is either the Max of the children.Height, or the Sum of children.Height, depending on the App.Width.

The problem is that when the app first loads, the height of the container isn't tall enough so some of the controls are hidden. If I navigate away from that screen, then navigate back, the height is correct.

I haven't used nested horizontal or vertical containers in gallery yet.

Due with respect to the responsiveness and the back-forth of navigating to see correct layout, I have faced that.

I might not know the main cause in your case, but as per my experience "Always keep Gallery padding to 0" this helps in respecting the responsive behaviour.

Few Points to consider as well:

1. If you are using container borders or gallery borders that takes up space apart from the width. Based on your formula when it's <= 1167. So if your border is 2 then overall width is 1167 + (2*2).

2. If it still doesn't help, try to add a loading screen when you launch the app and based on timer (5 sec) navigate to your Main screen. This you can use as final option.
