Power Apps Usage Metrics

Hi All,

 

I have a requirement to capture the power apps metrics (like what kind of apps are configured, their users and the respective data sources, Usage Metrics) etc. and save it in a persistent storage(into a database table/parquet format). I have a requirement to capture this info on daily basis and report their metrics. 

 

I have done similar thing in powerbi using PowerbI Admin APIs. But as I'm new to the power platform, could you please help me to kick start on this part .

    Hi @manasam1923 

     

    Unfortunately you posted in the Power Automate forums not the Power Apps side.

     

    Power Apps themselves, do not have user usage metrics. You would have to do that yourself, by tying it into Application Insights, or creating your own version.

    Noted this is in the Powerautomate forum but thought I would reply anyway -
     
    There is Power Apps Usage report/dashboard available in the Power App Admin Center -Tenant-level Analytics for Power Apps - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn. You can select 'Canvas Apps' or 'Model Apps'.
     
    I will caution you, however, that we have had multiple tickets opened to address data gaps, duplication and requests for definitions as the article doesn't really explain in detail. In recent days, things are looking more stable so hopefully it can be relied upon going forward.
