How to pass selected values from one datasource to another

Hi,

I have been struggling with this for awhile and tried a number of things and gotten LOTS of error messages.  First, I hope what I want to do is possible.  If not, please let me know what adjustments I could make to the datasources to make it work.

I have a SP list named catalog (datasource: Catalog) that I have built a shopping cart named GalleryCatalog.  I have collected the selected values into colShoppingCart using the onSelect for the shopping cart icon.

Collect(colShoppingCart, {Name: ThisItem.Name, Image: ThisItem.ProductImage, Product: ThisItem.'Item Description', Quantity: "Qty: " & Qty, Subtotal: Text(ThisItem.'Estimated Unit MSRP' * Qty, "$#,##0.00")});Reset(Qty);

Navigate(OrderSummaryScreen);

Note: users (as intended) can only order one item at a time.  Our finance dept requires a separate order for each item.

 I move the process to a review screen which passes along the selected item and qty.  Datasource is: colShoppingCart

This is where my problem starts - When you click the Next button, I want the title (IPEVO VZ-R HDMI/USB Dual Mode) and qty (3) to pass to the next screen which is an order form built from another SP list (shopping cart).  Then when I user clicks order, the form info is saved to the SP list (which is does now but I have to reselect the item from catalog and type in the qty.  I see my biggest issues as 3 different datasources and the item fields not have the same name.  In catalog it is 'Item Description' text type and in shopping cart it is 'Item from Catalog' which is a lookup type that pulls from Catalog 'Item Description'.
This is the form screen and my latest item formula attempt and current error

One final note - while I am using SP lists that we are currently I can modify things to make this work such as column types.  I do still need 2 separate lists - one for the catalog and another for orders.  Thanks for any help, suggestions, education, etc..

    Hi @sam888k12 ,

    You can try this

    Set(CurrentItem, LookUp(colShoppingCart, Name = "IPEVO VZ-R HDMI/USB Dual Mode"));
    Navigate(OrderFormScreen);

    If this solution helps, please consider accepting it. 😊

    Hi,

    Thanks for the info.  I added it to the onSelect Next button on the Order Summary screen.  I did not get an error but it did not pass that value to the order form.  I tried it in a few other places too but those all generated errors.  Is there another place I should try that line of code?
