I am not too sure whether I have not noticed this before, but even though I have set the DisplayMode of a rectangle to View (Read Only in my mind) - when I hover over the rectangle / shape it interacts with the mouse. Obviously if I disable the control it does not; but then I have to amend all the properties I have already set for the Disabled colours / borders etc... is this correct and I have never noticed?

I've made a similar test and found that:
1)If you set the Rectangle's DisplayMode to View
You need to change the icon's Fill to set its color.
It looks that it interacts with the mouse( shows the small hand pattern), but if you click the icon , the OnSelect action will not perform.
2)If you set the Rectangle's DisplayMode to Disabled
You need to change the icon's DisabledFill to set its color.
It will not interacts with the mouse, and the OnSelect action will not perform.
To sum up, set the icon's DisplayMode to View and Disabled can both make it not interact with the mouse.
The difference is about the color's setting(and the border's setting).
